Activities and Family Activities in Thailand

Bangkok is definitely a city to be experienced. One of the most famous destinations in the world, it will leave you feeling exhilarated. From world famous hotels, the shimmering temples and palaces, stunning shopping malls, and amazing nightlife, there are many different sides to Bangkok. Along the waterways, around the old market areas, an intoxicating mixture of aromas, sights and visual delights provide you with a unique insight into this exciting location. Bangkok is also architecturally inspiring, and offers a fascinating insight into Thailand's rich culture presenting a unique setting to your Bangkok holidays.

As one of the premier tourist destinations in Thailand, Bangkok has innumerable activities to participate in, ensuring that visitors with any interest will find something to keep them entertained on their holiday.

There are hundreds of opportunities for activities like Golf, Ice-skating, Carting etc in Thailand. Other outdoor activities in Thailand involve cycling to hidden or lesser known destinations away from the urban sprawl, and outfitters like Spice Roads and Grasshopper Adventures can get you to all the top spots on two wheels or on foot. If being on the ground isn't your idea of fun, why not take to the water and enjoy Bangkok this way. Either head over to the little known floating market of Taling Chan, where you can charter a longtail boat to explore with or just eat to your heart's content, or if you are looking for something a bit more upscale, why not set sail on a dinner cruise with Grand Pearl Cruises.

Bangkok's sights, attractions, and city life are really incredible. Royal palaces and temples as well as museums constitute its major historical and cultural tourist attractions. Shopping and dining experiences offer a range of choices and prices. The city is also famous for its nightlife. Although Bangkok's reputation for sex tourism is well established, it is downplayed by the government.

Bangkok is a treasure trove of things to do no matter what age you are, and while it might not seem a kid-friendly place at first, there’s a range of experiences your toddlers, tweens or teenagers will love. Cool off at a water park. Bangkok can get hot and humid, so spending time in the water is a must. Even if your hotel has a pool, plan to spend a day at Fantasia Lagoon or Siam Park.

Get wild at Safari World. Safari World, an open zoo, ferries visitors through the park on an open-air bus to see animals up close. The tour takes about 45 minutes, and you can stay for a lion or tiger feeding show.

Take an ELEPHANT RIDE through the jungle and WASH and Bangkok the elephants. You can ride an elephant through the jungle and even take control as the mahout. Later you can take it down to the crystal clear river for its evening scrub down.

Visit a snake farm. Watch a cobra having its venom milked and learn about the environmental importance of these animals with a visit to a snake farm. The Queen Saovabha Memorial Institute and the Bangkok Snake Farm at the Red Cross Institute are two of the best.

Spend the day at Dusit Zoo. When in doubt, head to the zoo. The same is true for Bangkok, where you’ll find more than 1,600 animals from all over the globe. Rent a paddle boat to get out on the zoo’s lake and walk the Sky Walk to see some of the animal habitats.
