On September 1st, 2024, officials from the FM91 Traffic Pro Radio Station witnessed the return of foreign currency worth 75,100 baht to its Israeli owner, who had left it in a taxi in Bangkok.

The taxi driver, Wirat Soi-udom, 54, from Roi Et province, found a black handbag containing various foreign currencies and documents identifying the owner as Mr. Nathanel Avinoam, an Israeli national.

Wirat had reportedly picked up the passenger from Thanon Tok and dropped him off at Sukhumvit Soi 22 on the night of August 31st.

After discovering the bag, he had reportedly attempted to search for the owner before promptly handing it over to FM91 around 2:00 AM on September 1st. Following verification, FM91 traced the owner, who was staying at a hotel in the Charoen Krung area, Bangkok.

According to FM91, the tourist, who has been visiting Thailand for over 20 years, expressed gratitude and rewarded the honest driver with 6,800 baht for his integrity.
